Why do Conservatives still hold the record for the most devastating domestic terrorist attack in US history?

We’re of course, talking about the Oklahoma City Bombing. It is second to 9/11, first amongst domestic terrorist attacks.

Before Cons try to pretend that Timothy McVeigh wasn’t a Conservative (just like they do with every Con that gets in trouble), let me just state a few facts:

1. McVeigh was a registered Republican. http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/03/29/profile.mcveigh/

2. McVeigh was a member of the National Rifle Association, a Conservative organization. http://archives.cnn.com/2001/US/03/29/profile.mcveigh/

3. McVeigh tried to join right-wing militia groups like the Michigan Militia. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/1321244.stm

4. McVeigh hated & distrusted the Federal Government. [no source needed, his targeting a Federal Government building is proof enough]

Why are Cons so treasonous against their own country & government?

  1. Because they stay focused.

  2. And McVeigh was caught by a bunch of conservatives and executed. Meanwhile liberals around the country hailed Al Qaeda as “noble freedom fighters” and continue to try to justify their actions..

    So, you were saying?

  3. — Six left-wing radicals stood in a Federal court walled off with bullet-proof glass today and pleaded not guilty to charges of bombing the Capitol in 1983.

The defendants, who were ringed by United States marshals, told Federal District Judge Harold H. Greene that each of them was an ”anti-imperialist political prisoner.”

Three of the defendants, Marilyn Buck, Linda Sue Evans and Laura Whitehorn, are charged with conspiring to bomb the Capitol and seven other buildings in Washington and New York City as part of a campaign of ”armed propaganda” waged by a secret Communist organization.

”I am a political prisoner, not a terrorist,” said Ms. Buck, who was convicted May 11 in New York of participating in two armored car robberies in which four people were killed in 1981. Protest of Foreign Policy

Ms. Buck, Ms. Evans and Ms. Whitehorn are also charged, along with Susan Rosenberg, Timothy Blunk, Dr. Alan Berkman and Elizabeth Duke, with malicious destruction of Federal property in connection with the bombings of the Capitol and three military buildings in Washington in 1983 and 1984. Ms. Duke is a fugitive.

The bombs were set off to protest United States foreign policy in the Middle East and Central America.

None of the bombings injured anyone. The bomb that exploded outside the Senate on Nov. 7, 1983, blew out a wall, damaged five paintings and blew doors off the hinges outside the office of the Senate majority leader, Robert C. Byrd of West Virginia. Court Security Protested

The court hearing today was marked by long speeches by Dr. Berkman and defense attorneys to protest the heavy court security and conditions at the District of Columbia Jail where the six were being held.

”The security concerns have totally subordinated our legal rights and our human rights,” said Dr. Berkman, a physician who is already serving a 12-year sentence for illegal possession of explosives and weapons.

The defense attorneys, led by Susan Tipograph, a New York lawyer, refused to discuss a schedule of pretrial motions until the defendants had an opportunity to retain permanent legal counsel for the case.

Judge Greene gave the defendants 30 days to hire lawyers. He set another hearing for June 24.

  4. You are kidding, right?

Surely someone does not honestly believe that McVeigh represented or spoke for any substantial segment of our population.

  5. Al Qaeda are Conservatives as well.

    Most Religious Fanatics are Conservatives.

  6. You are the treasonous one.

McVeigh was a loon that was not wanted by any right wing group. He wasn’t a conservative, he was a hate-filled mental case.

According to this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_McVeigh, he also supported the KKK and white supremecy groups, which are let wing groups. He wrote letters containing comments like “Go ahead, take everything I own; take my dignity. Feel good as you grow fat and rich at my expense; sucking my tax dollars and property” which is a very left wing rant. McVeigh experimented with cannabis and methamphetamine, another left wing habit.

Yes, I read the whole article and while I do not use Wikipedia as a definitive source, there are obviously many places where he is shifting back and forth depending on the issue. To say he was a left or a right winger is to ignore the facts altogether.

  8. LOL — I hope you are not serious

1 lone nut who hated the government does NOT represent Conservatives or Liberals

BTW – it appears that you love stereotyping and generalizations because you engage in it so often
I wonder if you realize how predjudiced you are
Your bias is blinding you from the truth
