I am white and i am not a racist, but i know some that are. Most people I know of other races or descents are racist though.
I don’t know where you even got that idea. I don’t know what country or planet you live on. I know bigots from many different backgrounds. I know bigots within my own family. I am not white.
Maybe you think this way because the media spins it that way. Just like some people fear black people because all they see on tv is black murderers and black drug dealers, et cetera. In the real world people know racism exists across the board.
In the U.S. yeah, minorities do look at white people differently, but not necessarily racism. They get unjustly classified with their racist ancestors. The one’s who stole the Native’s land, to the one’s who thought it was okay to enslave Africans. Yeah a lot of it has to do with history. Considering we are only 40 some odd years from the civil rights movement that’s not that far back. My mother was part of that and one of the one’s who got spit on and ammonia sprayed back when she was in school by WHITE PEOPLE. You can blind yourself all you want but although things have changed it has not changed volumes. You can think that all you want but then you have your head buried in the sand.
But no, I don’t blame white people and I don’t think terrorists are only Arab and/or Muslim. Even some white people think that way. Watch “Borat” and get a clue. Anyways, enjoy thinking minorities are out on a witch hunt for white people. I don’t waste my time. Plenty of my own kind I have to watch out for.

Granted that there is plenty of prejudice among all groups of people, of all colors and nationalities. Still Europeans will bear most of the blame because of history. It wasn’t black people who were exploiting and enslaving white people for hundreds of years, it was white people doing that. So, whether you view that as fair or not, white people are going to get called for racism more often than others.

Because we think its pitiful? It’s so true but I have no idea why. Maybe it’s because white people have really big mouths and they have to say what’s on their mind. I don’t think we really have much control over what comes out our mouth because we say the most random things. I think people should take that into concederation. It’s kinda stupid though. We, as white people, need some freaking duct tape.
Maybe because the people of European descent (white people) are perceived to have more resources and be better off – which is so not true, but a myth that continues. You don’t see Al Sharpton jumping up w/ his gums flapping if a case of reverse racism hits the headlines.
There really is no simple answer for that. For caucasians it is engrained in our society dating back hundreds of years that they were the dominant race. If we never learn from our past we will be condemned to repeat it. I personally hate the fact that other races can make fun of themselves and other races and people just laugh, but when a white person does it, it creates an uproar and social turmoil. Life goes on I guess, and there are very few people stand up for any of this crap…

i remember on **tv** there was a period when everyone was saying that black people were getting jobs over white people cos we were ethnic minorities. Then a little while later i heard some white people having an angry rant that we get jobs easier than them, as if this conversation wasnt connected to the new fashionable, blacks get our jobs wear. A nice reason to be racist to each other. What are the media thinking? More ratings. Because everybody is racist to some degree. Things like this ignite our reasons to be racist.
Did you read that first bit. TV. Its the media taking whatever they want and turning the issues to cause people to watch. Only showing one opinion in a survey in the street. Helping to reinforce the mindset that is easiest for the masses to relate to so that we dont have to deal with our real issues. I know black people who are racist towards white people but dont even know any white people personally. Thats insane. I know white people who are racist towards me without even knowing it. It depends on who you are, where you are and what your medium of information is.TV, radio, and music try to make out that each individual gets a rough time but its just what our ears pick up. Its like getting a brand new audi and then suddenly noticing other audis, convinced that there are more of your car on the street than any other.
Another reason is that there is quite a lot of empirical proof that europeans orchestrated a 400 year program of slavery, rape, murder and pilaging of black peoples lands. This has sullied the record sheet of white people some what so if accused again of anything people just believe it.
Also the fault of the media.

First off, we agree that there is still quite a bit of racism around right? However, you are absolutely right. If you are African-American or Hispanic, it seems like you are considered a member of an “aggreived minority,” and a such, the media will give you a free pass when it comes to saying and doing bigotted things.
For example,while Don Imus couldn’t get away with calling a women’s basketball team a bunch of “nappy headed ho’s,” (which he shouldn’t), it was perfectly OK for Jesse Jackson to refer to New York City as “Heimmietown,” (which I consider to be as strongly anti-Semetic as Imus’ remarks were racist).
It’s also just fine for illegan aliens to take to the streets waving Mexican flags, carry signs saying “This is Our Country,” and either fly the American flag upside down or fly it below the Mexican flag at public buildings in predominantly Hispanic areas….however anyone who dares to come out in favor of increased border security and the deportation of people who don’t belong in the country in the first place is immediately branded a racist and xenophobe.
In the gospel according to Al Sharpton, the Duke Lacrosse Players are not innocent of the charges that they raped the black stripper (don’t give me any of that “exotic dancer”
garbage….she’s a stripper), they are merely rich white boys from influential families who used their social advantages to get away with a crime against some poor powerless black woman.
I could go on and on, but I’d only get worked up and start foaming at the mouth….what it comes down to is that you have a bunch of ying-yangs in the media who feel guilty about being white and prosperous. The good people use this to fight for social justice, and to expose the ugly underbelly of our society in hopes of making things better for us all. The less talented hacks can’t do that….instead they continually tell members of all minorities what victims they are…that we, as the majority owe them all the things that they don’t have, and excuse all their racist, unacceptable words and acts with the lame rationalization, “Well you can’t blame them for being angry (throwing rocks and bottles, smashing windows, burning city blocks, killing police officers, going on shooting rampages), after all, look at they way the system treats them.”
