  1. I think the history for 6/2 is a bit messed up. Virginia Clemm married Edgar Allen Poe 5/16/1836. She was his 13-year-old first cousin. She died of tuberculosis 1/30/1847.

    on 6/2/1886, Grover Cleveland and Frances Folsom were married in the blue room of the White House. She didn’t die until 10/29/1947.

    Neither woman was hit by a train.

  2. Er, Thucydides wrote the history of the Peoponnesian War.

    Thucydides was Athenian.

    The Athenians lost.
