No, republicans as I know them (I am one of them, and I am surrounded by them because I live in the state of Texas) are peaceful people. They only way I would resort to violence would be to defend myself or my loved ones. Republicans will always defend, but we will never be the ones on the offensive seeking out those who oppose us.

After months of stoking anger among conservatives, what do you think would happen if tomorrow Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, et al. went on their shows and said, “We’ve changed our minds. Obama’s a good man and his ideas are okay. Call off the protests.” Do you honestly think people would stand down? You can’t light a fuse and fan the flames only to try to stop the powder keg at the last minute.
I doubt if anyone will resort to violence, that is predominately against Republican presidents. After all it was Ford and Reagan that were attacked in an assassination attempt.
I believe that the pres will reconsider his pig in a poke healthcare reform and try for a real reform that offers quality at a fair price.
