I am doing a project on an incident which involves NIMS (such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks or Oklahoma City Bombing)… Please help me brainstorm a few more incidents like this! Thanks!

Actually I believe NIMS came out after 9/11. I had to take a series of courses since in my state it became mandatory for EMS personnel to know the new regulations. You could try looking at any recent terror attacks or scares, look at some of the stuff that happened in New York recently. Your best bet would be to research local MCI (mass casualty incidents) withing your area since NIMS is really only for MCI’s.
Another aspect your could add into your project could be the SMART triage system. It’s the standard triage system for a MCI now.

Well to start with neither 9/11 nor the OKC bombing involved NIMS because it did not exist at the time.
Another thing to consider is that all incidents – even including planned events such as parades – are supposed to be handled per NIMS. (The primary reason for using NIMS for planned events is to train personnel.)
Just about every large scale emergency in the past three years has involved NIMS.
