john maine was ready to play. what i heard was “they were worried about his velosity, wasnt an injury.” he had beckoned for some one and then he was taken out. this is game two. ra dickey and the knuckle ball were effective for now. they covered john maines anger but they did not dwell on the fact that john maine won with out throwing a pitch. that i think was in his best intrest. he can rest and hell be on fire… especially if dan warthen or uncle jerry doesnt get fired first. for now we are ready for the yankees. i dont care what anybody says. lets go mets!!!
