John Allen Muhammad (AKA ‘The DCSniper’), who was the mastermind of the 2002 sniper attacks in the Washington, DC, will be executed TONIGHT (9:00 PM EST) in Virginia by lethal injection. The infamous 2002 random shooting spree by Muhammad (and his ‘then’ teenage accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo) left 10 innocent people dead, and others injured.
@hawver1013 You follow the Bible do you? Think personally that it is a bit rich quoting – usually out of context – just the bits of the Bible that (you think) support your case. Strange, but looking at society today, it’s seems strange it would want to use the *Bible* in order to justify what is does. I have read the Bible thrice, and the eye for an eye quotation fails to acknowledge to whom this is said… which to explain would require more than the characters allowed in the comments field!

Yes it does, but not everyone believes that book to be true. This is about the US Law, which should be based on universal ethics. There are a lot of ethical rules which are found all over the world, those should be followed, because whole humankind agrees on them, not just Christians.
The question of whether the death penalty is good or bad is not as simple as it seems.
Since when is the Bible needed to This is more about freedom and the right of wellbeing etc.
