Um, Dominic Brown is coming up next year. Soooo? It’s okay, I wouldn’t expect you to know this since I don’t study other teams Minor League systems, but he’s a great player.
You’re right. They have minor leaguers, but no one in the Majors. Maybe Cole Hamels, but he’s already a present player.
No. I hope we aren’t doomed to a Ruth like curse after the Lee deal. Ok, we needed prospects, alright Amaro get some prospects. WE traded Drabek, Taylor, and D’Arnaud to get Halladay, all who had a key part in Philadelphia’s future. With them gone the farm system was shot so they thought trade Lee and restock the system. Instead they get prospects that are useless. Aumount is a closer, Lidge is doing great this year! Gillies, like we need another short speedy outfielder, thats all we have! And Ramirez, what a scrub. They should’ve kept Lee but instead just wasted him. Dominic Brown could be a star, but he’s not what your looking for on this list. Mike Zagurski is a good pitcher, he’s still very young and just got called up, same with Scott Mathesion. Future, not looking good for Philadelphia.
You say “future stars” like all those guys are sure things. They are just hyped prospects right now til they prove themselves. Only Strasburg out of that group has done anything “star-like” in MLB so far and that’s just over a few starts. Also, the Phillies have had a good record every year over the past few years so they haven’t got a lot of high draft picks like those other teams have. It’s the same reason the Rays have more young potential talent than the Yankees do (although to give them credit, the Rays also draft very well and have great scouting).
I’m a Yanks fan but I gotta say that Howard is still young and has a bright future.

I can’t see Stanton or Davis as future stars. I can see them as starters but definitely not stars. Heyward may be a star but I don’t see him as one in the future.
Strasburg is really the only future star out of that group that I can see.
As people have mentioned, Dominic Brown is supposedly a five-tool player. I know he was injured earlier in the season, but I don’t know if he’s back yet.
Other than that, there’s no one. I was really looking forward to seeing Drabek pitch for the Phillies, but now that he’s gone, Brown is just about the only one.
Brown and Aumount are both in top 20 on the prospects list.
Marlins/Braves always have “future stars” but their fanbase is not big enough to keep them.
This is what happens when you decided to trade for the high priced starting pitchers. The farm system tends to pay the price and the Phillies don’t get the high draft considering where the place in standings. So I guess Brown might be up next year.
