Zenyatta will now get a chance to win more races in a row and the most money of any thoroughbred ever. Great decision by the Mosses and great for racing. Zenyatta will really bring the crowds to the track wherever she races.

Some other horse, darn I cant think of the name, beat Summer Bird by 6 while running alongside him all the way until the stretch when the horse, I believe it was a filly, stretched her lead over the field with every stride. Would you happen to know that horses name?
She did, and Zenyatta spotted him 15 lengths for fun, then roared by him like a runaway train with her ears pricked. Poor Summer Bird. He’d be the star performer in a normal year…

best thoroughbred ever? thats a easy answer, HELL YES! lol shes amazing RA is ALMOST as good, but not quite as good as zenyatta, she will def. have to prove herself to win that title from zenyatta!
I personally believe Z would have run down and passed RA in the Woodward but that’s something we’ll never know for sure. Both distaffers are great racehorses and I’m looking forward to seeing RA as a 4yo. RA vs. Z could have been a great rivalry, especially with their radically different running styles but that had to happen this year, oh well. Life is Sweet and Careless Jewel can give RA a run for her money next year.
No, but like most Anabaa’s she can run. How much of a “closing kick” do you think Macho Again would have at 8.5f if Rachael Alexandra had been allowed to canter the first 6f in 1:13.64 and AC was about a length off that pace.
RA is a very nice filly and deserves HOY as much as Z but for a deep closer to win at 8.5f behind a pace that slow is at least as remarkable as RA’s game win in the Woodward after a really fast pace.
So you think Anabaa’s Creation is better than Macho Again?
No, I didn’t say that. But, Macho Again does has a pretty formidable closing kick, it doesn’t matter whether it is better than Zenyatta’s or not, it’s pretty damn good. And Rachel held him off after going through suicidal fractions.
LOL Maybe you didn’t notice…or you’re just blind….but Summer Bird finished 4th at the Classic, he finished a couple of lenghts behind Zenyatta…and…

Even if RA had been 6 lengths in front? Like I said, she may have been able to do it, but she would have had a hell of a time doing it.
Zen would have blown right past RA. No question. RA never faced a field like that. At Zen’s track there is no doubt. I hammered the win ticket on Zen in the Classic. If RA was there the odds would have been even better. check out youtube/pick6fix. jd
In match races, nearly all the time, it is the horse the leads throughout the race that wins.

Do you not understand how fast the fractions were? The horses that tried to run at the pace RA was running at, disappeared. Zen would have had a hell of a time running down RA. She may have been able to do it, but it would have never been easy.
Zenyatta ran the last 1/4 faster than the 1st 1/4 14 times-LOL
